These are really neat, NKOTB was considered the first official modern boy band. The official NKOTB hotline, 1-900-909-5KIDs, received approximately 100,000 calls per week. Imagine the amount of money this brought in. What was it like $2.99 a minute back then? In 1991, the group was #1 on Forbes' list of highest-paid entertainers, ahead of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, and all the other stars of the day.
